A month and a half have passed since the mansion lab incident and now the secrets come back to haunt you in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (aka Biohazard 3: LAST ESCAPE in Japan). Join Jill Valentine in her attempt to escape a nightmarish city in ruins. Around every corner lurk hordes of flesh-eating zombies, hideous mutants, and a relentless new nemesis. You'll soon rely on cunning and brute force to stay alive. The Resident Evil series has taken a horrifying turn, unveiling new layers in the Umbrella Corporation's devious activities.

Problems

Music Drops Out

Due to the removal of the ARAM-DMA hack on 5.0-560, the music will drop out in game areas that use two audio tracks (ambiance sound count as an audio track), refer to issue 9840. A workaround is using older Dolphin builds that still have the hack, like 5.0-550.

Inventory Issues

Sometimes when picking up an item or transferring items from inventory to a box, the item will disappear. This can be avoided most of the time by setting Texture Cache Accuracy slider to middle setting.

Enhancements

Graphical Artifacts on Environment

Environments will exhibit square graphical artifacts around some objects if Force Texture Filtering is enabled. Keep this enhancement disabled to avoid the issue.

HD Texture Pack

60Hz PAL

In the PAL-Version the 60Hz mode cannot be activated at startup. Use this Gecko code to force the 60Hz mode.

Configuration

Only configuration options for the best compatibility where they deviate from defaults are listed.

Graphics

ConfigSettingNotes
Force Texture FilteringOffPrevents graphical artifacts on environment objects

Test Entries
Revision OS Version CPU GPU Result Tester
r5092Windows 7Intel Core 2 Quad Q9505 @ 2.83GHzNVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTGame seems to run very well, full speed most of the time with almost perfect graphics. To fix glitches in inventory menu, use Safe Texture Cache hack, but this will bring lines to the main game graphics and there will still be some graphical glitches with items' appearance. Sound works well, though there are some missing voices and music. Controls respond well. Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (GC) on Dolphin Wii/GC Emulator 720p HD Full Speednosound98
3.5-644Windows 8Intel Core 2 Duo E8300 @ 2.83GHzAMD Radeon 5770Almost perfect except for the slowdown in the beginning of the game.fly16
4.0-4473Windows 7Intel Core i3-3220 @ 3.3GHzNVIDIA GeForce GT 640The graphics in this game broke sometime after 4.0-2575 which was the last version of the emulator I used before upgrading to the build that I'm reporting here. Neither backend works properly anymore at this time. Missing developer logos, and all pre rendered backgrounds that this game uses for graphics are mostly gone, especially in game. Most of the background in game is black in simple terms Avoid this build if you plan on playing this game as other games are having issues with it as well.Yugix
4.0-4488Windows 7Intel Core i3-3220 @ 3.3GHzNVIDIA GeForce GT 640After that disaster known as 4.0-4473 the game runs with no visible problems two hours into it so far. Using all recommended settings except using LLE. HLE has no problems with music or sound so far. This game runs smoothly on my setup which is windowed 640x480, 2x native, OpenGL. Game runs fine in fullscreen as well beyond what I'm using.Yugix
4.0-6112Windows 7AMD FX-8150 @ 3.5GHzAMD Sapphire 6950 HDHLE has no problems with music or sound. This game runs smoothly with windowed or Full Screen, 4x native, OpenGL. Also, set the texture cache to Fast for a smoother intro to the game and shotgun room.Sublimeice
5.0Windows 10Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 @ 3.33GHzNVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTThe game runs perfectly with some adjustments. To achieve 30FPS had to use the Overclocked CPU option and set to 66%, yes it is a underclock. This way the game runs perfectly. D3D11, IR 2x. 30FPS all time (include beginning).BrasileiroGamer

    Game Description & Reviews:

OverviewThe game follows Resident Evil's Jill Valentine trying to escape the zombie infected Raccoon City while being stalked by the Umbrella Super Bio Weapon, Nemesis.
Final Fantasy IX rates this game: 5/5

RE3: Nemesis canonically takes place parallel to RE2. It was developed roughly alongside Code Veronica for the Dreamcast and as such, both games share similar features with one another, such as exploding barrels and the 180-turn. What sets RE3 apart from other games in the series is of course the Nemesis himself. He is stronger than you, faster then you, completely merciless, and is by the far the most intelligent enemy in the original trilogy, and will not stop until you are dead. Rawtherapee mac rawtherapee for mac. On top of having new dodge moves, and the fact that enemies can now walk up and down stairs, you will need all your wits to make one last stand in this god-forsaken city.
There are 2 difficulties in this game. Easy and Hard.
Easy mode makes it more accessible to RE4/RE5 fans. Hard Mode is there for RE vets and horror enthusiasts.

This game supports Dual Shock, takes 1 block on the memory card, and some first timers may spend up to 8-10 hours completing it. Completing the game on Hard multiple times will unlock epilogue chapters for various characters from previous games and on top of that you also have the Mercenaries mini-game which you can play for money to unlock infinite ammo for weapons in the main game. So you're really looking at about 50+ hours in terms of re-playability. Happy hunting!

    Resident

The best Resident Evil title to date for the PSOne. The simple reason for that is the improved gameplay, particularly the enhanced puzzle elements and the addition of Nemesis and the game-altering choice screens he brings with him.
